Where the rates come from
The USD/MXN market rate comes from Tkambio's rate service and refreshes every 5 minutes. Buy and sell rates are derived from it with the same factors Tkambio uses.
Bank table
Rates for Mexican banks and institutions are collected from the public exchange-rate aggregator and stored daily, which lets us show the real day-over-day movement.
History and chart
We store the daily USD/MXN close in our own database. Long-range history (up to 5 years) was backfilled from the daily reference series published by the European Central Bank.
Transfer comparison
Each provider is modelled with the margin it applies to the interbank rate plus its published fee. The total shown is (amount − fee) × provider rate. Figures are indicative and are recomputed whenever the live rate changes.
